ECU's model student has brain for business

Aside from completing her first year of a business degree at ECU, Elizabeth Hall also looks forward to strutting down the catwalk at this year's Perth Fashion Festival.

Elizabeth has been announced as one of the ‘Fresh Faces' of Western Australia's premier fashion event, which will be presented by the City of Perth from 15 to 24 September.

After being selected from some of WA's top models, she says it has all come as bit of a shock after only being picked up by Vivien's Model Management in March this year.

At uni Elizabeth, 18, turns down the glamour and enjoys being an everyday student with her heart set on a career in business management.

She graduated from Mount Lawley Senior High School in 2003 and last year completed ECU's University Preparation Course.

She says she has been enjoying her units so far.

“The UPC was fantastic grounding for starting a uni course,” she says.

“I felt like I was well prepared to start a degree and it covered things you don't tend to learn at high school.

“I have done particularly well with assignments, just because I knew how to reference well and do a proper bibliography.”
